3) Rebuild fire place to a simple design using a mix of re-used bricks, new soft red bricks (of similar colour and size) and lime mortar. The new fire place will consists of a double brick skin (~9") up to the cut (existing) wall tie with the inner brick skin (~4") continuing up to re-connect with repaired (existing) chimney. i.e. the wall tie will rest on the outer brickwork.
